
Cape Town - Rainy and overcast conditions are expected for SA's coastal regions, elsewhere a warm weekend can be expected.
Maximum temperatures on Friday, 2 September will be warm in the north-eastern parts of SA with temperatures in the Free State, Gauteng and Limpopo reaching high twenties. It will be cooler throughout the Western Cape and Eastern Cape.
Minimum temperatures will be mostly warm, but cold in places in the Northern Cape, Western Cape and the Free State.
Rainfall is expected along the south and east coast on Friday as well as southern parts of the Western Cape and Eastern Cape. A 60% chance of rain is expected from Witsand on the south coast to East London.
Coastal rain will persist on Saturday. A 60% chance of rain is expected from Cape Agulhas to Port St Johns. Surrounding areas can expect a 30% chance of rain. The Western Cape, Eastern Cape, KZN and eastern parts of Mpumalanga and Limpopo can expect overcast conditions. The rest of SA can expect warm conditions.
The Western Cape west coast and south coast to Hermanus as well as the east coast from East London to Durban can expect a 30% chance of rain. It will be warm in the rest of SA.

On Thursday, Johannesburg in Gauteng will reach a high of 25°C, Pretoria will reach a mild maximum of 27°C and Bloemfontein in the Free State will reach 28°C.
