
Addressing the EFF's call for land expropriation without compensation in Brits on Thursday, Cope leader Mosiuoa Lekota took a strong stand against the motion.
"Please, you must not think that just because there are a few youngsters running around in red overalls, don't think that the majority of the people of this country are of their minds. They are not," he said.
Lekota called on the government to first use the farmland it currently owns, while training young black farmers to commercially exploit the resource.
