Cape Town - Gunmen have opened fire at a popular beach in Mogadishu, Somalia, according to the BBC.
The BBC reported that a car drove into the entrance of a restaurant close to the beach, and exploded. Afterwards, five gunmen opened fire at people on the beach.
There is no information about casualties as of yet, but police in Mogadishu are attending the situation.
According to a tweet from Newsday 24/7, the gunmen took over the Mogadishu hotel near the beach, and are reporting that there are a dozen dead.

Abdulaziz Osman tweeted that a second car bomb exploded, and that Somali forces are fighting the gunmen, who are holed up inside a seafood restaurant at Lido Beach.
