Following President Cyril Ramaphosa's announcement that everyone, including foreign-born nationals, will get vaccinated, questions have been raised about how many foreign nationals are in the country. Dr Steven Gordon writes that given expert estimations, vaccinating the foreign-born population in South Africa is not an insurmountable task.

President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that his vaccination plan will make Covid-19 vaccines available to everyone living in South Africa, regardless of their citizenship status. This latest development comes as a respite to refugee rights groups who were anxious that foreign nationals might be excluded from the plan.
