The Cabinet and National Coronavirus Command Council (NCCC) have reportedly met to discuss lifting the ban on tobacco and liquor sales, as well as moving the country to lockdown Level 2.

News24 on Wednesday reported President Cyril Ramaphosa chaired meetings in these bodies where the overwhelming argument was in favour of fully reopening the economy.

Ramaphosa was expected to announce his decision this week.
