The Constitutional Court building.
The Constitutional Court building.
Roger de la Harpe, Gallo Images

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) on Monday reran its interviews for two Constitutional Court vacancies – and produced exactly the same shortlist of candidates.

The interviews were redone after the Council for the Advancement of the SA Constitution (Casac) challenged the JSC's April interviews, questioning their constitutionality.

On Monday evening, Judges Fayeeza Kathree-Setiloane, Jody Kollapen, Rammaka Mathopo, Mahube Molemela and Bashier Vally were recommended to President Cyril Ramaphosa as possible appointments to the apex court.
