Imtiaz Cajee in his home in Pretoria (James de Villiers, News24)

Nearly 50 years since the death of anti-apartheid activist Ahmed Timol, his nephew Imtiaz Cajee says South Africa is racially divided because the country has been unable to deal with the past. Cajee speaks to James de Villiers about the death of Joao Rodrigues - the last surviving police officer involved in Timol's murder, the lack of help from the NPA to investigate Timol's murder, and how he convinced his grandmother to testify at the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.

Murdered anti-apartheid activist Ahmed Timol's nephew, Imtiaz Cajee, 55, believes South Africa is unable to move forward as it has failed to deal with its past.
