Earlier this year Covid-19 struck, plunging our already struggling economy into further chaos.

As a result, government has had to secure loans from the International Monetary Fund, the New Development Bank and the African Development Bank. 

National Treasury has also said it expects the economy to experience a contraction of -7.8% this year.
