Whether he wins or loses re-election, US President Donald Trump's first four years in office will objectively go down in history as a disgraceful period for one of the most powerful nations on earth.

America will not be the same for many years to come. The pain inflicted and havoc wreaked on the United States' institutions and dignity by the orange property developer and his Praetorian Guard have severely damaged the country's soul.
