I rate former DA leader Tony Leon as one of South Africa's top intellectuals and always find his writing stimulating and challenging.
So, I was disappointed to read in an interview conducted by my colleague, James de Villiers, with Leon that the former leader of the opposition regards as "absolute garbage" discussing or engaging with the concept of white privilege. I would have expected a more nuanced view from Leon.
