Howard Feldman writes that the only way to make sense of the endorsement of the ANC by its former president is to come to the conclusion that the ANC doesn't want to govern anymore.

Maybe I have it all wrong. Maybe the ANC doesn't actually want to govern. And maybe we have missed all the messages that the party has sent us over the years. And maybe the party is exasperated and fed up that it keeps finding itself with a country to run and no intention of doing so.
