There needs to be tangible action and an overhauling of intelligence networks and systems if there is going to be any hope of stemming the hits and assassination plots we have seen recently, writes Mandy Wiener

If we have learnt anything in South Africa the last week, it’s not how to do the Jerusalema dance. It’s how cheap life is in this country.

Right now it feels as though we are rivalling Tijuana or Acapulco or Caracas when it comes to targeted assassinations. The reality of the numbers may tell a different story and you can call me alarmist, but let’s take a look at the last week.
