Tuesday's drama in Dubai shows that Cricket South Africa has been unable to create an environment where players are comfortable with issues such as 'take the knee' and must force its will onto them, writes Pieter du Toit. 

Quinton de Kock's decision to withdraw from the Proteas team minutes before South Africa was to play the West Indies in the second game of the ICC T20 Men's World Cup on Tuesday could signal a turning point for the game in the country.

The sport has been foundering in recent times, with hearings into allegations of racism and discrimination exposing bigotry, prejudice and often deep cultural cleavages.
