The ANC, at 109 years old, and in the middle of the pandemic, has run out of ideas, writes Qaanitah Hunter.

The ANC is celebrating its 109th birthday on Friday, which is why its top brass met on Wednesday to put together the final touches on its annual January 8 statement.  

It was already a peculiar setting for the party as the meeting of 100 or so of its top members met virtually, in anticipation of a virtual rally.
