Qaanitah Hunter is concerned that electioneering rallies for local government elections can become super-spreader events. However, she is just as worried that postponing the elections will just increase the dysfunction we see in municipalities around the country.

I am worried about the local government elections. 

Most immediately, when I watch the horrifying scenes playing out from India, and how election rallies became massive super-spreader events for Covid-19, I shudder at the thought of what will happen in South Africa.
