The ANC should use the January 8 statement to reflect on its performance and how it is going to save a greater part of its legacy, writes Ralph Mathekga.

The African National Congress (ANC) is celebrating its 109th anniversary, making the party one of the oldest liberation parties in existence and in power.

No one knows how much longer the ANC will continue to hold on to power in South Africa.
