The chaos at the Johannesburg city council meeting last week was a red flag, writes Ralph Mathekga. Without party caucuses finding each other, we can expect haphazard councils in the future.

Following the November municipal elections, it is apparent that the current term of local government has got off to a rough start, with the first 2022 Johannesburg city council meeting ending in chaos.

The DA is finding it difficult to tame the EFF, the very party that handed control of the City to the DA.
