With prohibitions of gatherings, ANC members are becoming spectators, watching a party collapse under the executive leadership, writes Ralph Mathekga.

Among the more difficult parts of living under lockdown has been how political movements have been left frozen, since gatherings were among prohibited activities since the first Lockdown started about a year ago.

Our political engagements still rely much on the conventional physical presence of people. Prohibitions of gatherings were frustrating, after the pandemic effectively made it difficult for politicians to engage personally.
