Parliament is about to set up its inquiry into Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane's fitness to hold office after the Democratic Alliance's motion to remove her cleared another hurdle, when the independent panel of inquiry gave the go-ahead for Parliament to proceed.
The main challenge is that the Mkhwebane issue stands right in the middle of the warring factions in the ANC.
