Ralph Mathekga examines what needs to be done to prevent the erosion of state capacity, which has been prevalent for a long time.

South Africa must undertake extraordinary measures to overcome the massive erosion of state capacity that has been allowed in the last decade. Indeed, the war against corruption is the first step towards overcoming this, and measures aimed at closing the taps should be supported.
