While there have been calls for Cyril Ramaphosa to reshuffle the Cabinet, Ralph Mathekga argues that it can't happen just yet because it could send tremors through the party and leave the president even more isolated in his anti-corruption crusade.

President Cyril Ramaphosa is at loggerheads with some Cabinet members regarding how to characterise the unrest, which resulted in looting a few weeks ago.

Ramaphosa wanted to refer to what happened as an "insurrection," while his ministers in the security cluster didn't seem willing to go along with the idea that what happened should be labelled as an insurrection.
