Throughout its management of the coronavirus pandemic, President Cyril Ramaphosa's administration has had to explain itself. This was once again the case on Sunday with government's vaccine rollout strategy, writes Ralph Mathekga.

President Cyril Ramaphosa's administration is under siege for its failure to show urgency in speedily securing a Covid-19 vaccine.

South Africa has emerged as one of the global hotspots when it comes to the severity of the second wave of the pandemic, having also identified a more aggressive strain of the virus in the country. Mortality has been on the rise and public anxiety is understandably palpable.
