The practical problem is who will lead in driving internal efforts to deal with the likes of Zuma if half of the national office bearers of the party (the top six) are cited in the Zondo report, writes Ralph Mathekga.
The latest report from the Zondo commission of inquiry into state capture shows how the ANC deployed cadres, went on a rampage in government institutions, destroying public assets, including the once giant electricity generator Eskom.
Chief Justice Raymond Zondo is making it very clear that former President Jacob Zuma did all in his power to further the interests of the Gupta family while others in the ANC either joined in or stood to watch, doing nothing. The question that needs to be addressed is what the ANC should do about the likes of Zuma who remains a member of the party after his years of misgoverning.
