A case of reckless and negligent driving is under investigation after an accident occurred at the corner of De Beers Avenue and the R44 in Somerset West last Friday (20 January) at 19:40.
Somerset West police stated that, according to the complainant, he was in his stationary car at the intersection when another vehicle (make and model unknown) drove into his vehicle and caused considerable damages.
The offending driver apparently refused to wait for police and drove off. The front of his vehicle was also damaged. The complainant reported no injuries.
