One suspect was arrested after the body of a 37-year-old man was found in a suitcase, dumped in a stream in Pahlane Street, Newvale in Komani on Sunday, January 15 at about 10:00.
According to police spokesperson, Captain Namhla Mdleleni, police were summoned to the scene and on arrival they found the body of a man in a suitcase in the stream.
“Upon investigation it was revealed that the deceased was reported missing the previous day on January 14,” said Mdleleni.
She further said a case of murder was opened and one suspect was arrested and will appear before Komani Magistrate’s Court soon.
