
A man who went to investigate a noise coming from outside his home in Voëlvlei, Kuils River was met by three robbers in the early hours of Tuesday morning (24 January).
WO Liezel Beukes, spokesperson of Kuils River police, said the resident was awoken at around 03:00 and went outside to investigate the noise coming from where his vehicles were parked outside the house in Arum Street.
The resident was overpowered by three men who pointed a gun at him and forced him back into the house.
Beukes said the suspects took two cellphones, a television, a microwave and a DVD player from the house.
They fled the scene with both vehicles that were parked in front of the house – a red Volkswagen Polo Cross and a white Toyota Quantum with registration number NUZ7346.
The Volkswagen Polo was recovered later the same morning (08:26) in Aerobat Street in Delft.
No suspects were arrested yet.
