A ransom demand has been made for the safe return of the young man from Despatch that disappeared early last month.

A ransom demand has been made for the safe return of the young man from Despatch that disappeared early last month.

Hawks spokesperson, Capt. Yolisa Mgolodela, said that the ransom demanded is R220 000.

Almonré Antovian Ashley Roman was reported missing on December 6 after leaving for Pick n Pay in Despatch the previous day and never returning.

According to police information, video footage shows Roman jumping into a white VW Kombi.

At the time of his disappearance, the 18-year-old was waring a cream polo neck jersey, a black jacket and blue jeans.
