Kruger: All 13 campsites revisited


The Kruger National Park’s campsites are almost as diverse as the wildlife you find here: there’s everything from a bush camp to a campsite that has a bank – yes, complete with cashiers. We visit all 13 of them.

It is quite understandable that people think the Big Five is the main drawcard that makes the Kruger National Park one of the most popular camping destinations in the country. This is, of course, partly true, but the management of the Kruger’s campsites must get credit too as they provide consistently good service.

Apart from the satellite camps – Balule, Tsendze, Malelane and Maroela – you’ll find fuel at the rest. The shops are also known for being fully equipped and stocked.
