Mary Slack - daughter of South African industrialist Harry Oppenheimer and heir to the Anglo American and DeBeers fortune - was the largest single donor named in the Electoral Commission of South Africa's (IEC) party funding disclosures, pumping R15 million into the coffers of the DA.

According to the first IEC report that was published report on Thursday, the 77-year-old contributed nearly 94% of the DA's donations for the quarter.

The party declared its total donations for the quarter as R15 983 751.48. Its other donors were listed as:
