Tax boss Edward Kieswetter's self-imposed deadline to finalise reviews of the processes that saw dozens of SARS staff members sidelined or pushed out of their jobs, has come and passed with no significant progress made.
News24 reported in July that a confidential internal report had recommended that SARS must apologise to employees, who were harmed during the devasting years that the "rogue unit" narrative was born and used to clamp down on investigative capacity at the tax agency.
