The curious case of Ferrari’s missing pace

By Braam Peens

What a difference a year makes. In June 2019, following Formula One's August break, Ferrari was mysteriously able to monopolise pole position for six consecutive rounds between Spa and Mexico. Leclerc's gladiatorial defeat of Lewis Hamilton at Monza in front of the rapturous tifosi a week later was all about winning Italy's hearts on his meteoric ascent to the status of Ferrari's new chosen one.

But come this year's Austrian round, Leclerc struggled to a lowly seventh with a qualifying time of 1:04.041 – more than a second off last year's time. What happened?

Sandra Oh talks Killing Eve

By Leandra Engelbrecht

Sandra Oh returns as British intelligence investigator Eve Polastri in Season Two of Killing Eve. The highly anticipated second season is currently airing in South Africa on Fox (DStv 125 and StarSat 131).

The spy thriller centres on two women, bound by a mutual obsession and one brutal act: Eve, an MI6 operative, and Villanelle (Jodie Comer), the beautiful, psychopathic assassin that she has been tasked with finding. Sandra - who is also the co-executive producer - tells us what to expect from Eve's journey in the new season and gives insight into the developing relationship between Eve and Villanelle.

Director Gina Prince-Bythewood: 'Normalising women as warriors is important and necessary'

By Afika Jadezweni

The telephone conversation with The Old Guard director Gina Prince-Bythewood inevitably fast-forwards to the part where we discuss portrayals of women in film. "I think girls are raised in a way that is not conducive to believing in our power and strength, so saying 'courageous or badass' doesn't necessarily mean that you have to be a fighter physically, but a fighter emotionally too - fighting for what you want, fighting to have a voice, to be heard," she says as she explains that being a badass doesn't mean the rejection of softness - it's actually an integral part of it.

"That for me is courageous and badass."
