The latest: President Cyril Ramaphosa is awaiting the report on the escape of wanted self-proclaimed prophet Shepherd Bushiri and his wife, Mary.

What we know: Presidency spokesperson Tyrone Seale confirmed this to News24 on Wednesday, adding that the time frame of when it will land on the president's desk was dependent on the Security Cluster.

In quotes: Speaking to eNCA, Ramaphosa said: "The Bushiri matter has been very concerning to all of us, I am waiting for a detailed report on the whole Bushiri saga, which I will get and we will then see what action needs to be taken, because it should never have happened the way that it did."
