The Story: In a move seen as an attempt to counter recent statements by President Cyril Ramaphosa for those implicated in wrongdoing to step down, former ANC Youth League deputy president Andile Lungisa has called for the ANC integrity committee to investigate the CR17 campaign.

The details: Lungisa said the CR17 campaign happened while Ramaphosa was on record speaking against ANC members buying and using money to influence the outcomes of the ANC's Nasrec elective conference.

The background: At the last NEC meeting, the ANC resolved to have independent, top legal minds and forensic experts advise it on compiling a report on all members implicated in corruption.
