After months of delays, Christopher Nolan's much-anticipated sci-fi thriller Tenet has been released in cinemas worldwide. It is the first major release in cinemas amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Like every Nolan film, it is shrouded in secrecy, with the plot largely under wraps. The synopsis reads: "The protagonist journeys through a twilight world of international espionage on a mission that will unfold in something beyond real-time."

Among the cast is Elizabeth Debicki who jumped at the prospect of working with the award-winning director.
