Put South Africa First's Victoria Mamogobo during her interview with News24.
James de Villiers

Victoria Mamogobo, one of the leaders of Put South Africa First, which made headlines for going to businesses to seek proof that employees are South African, says there's nothing xenophobic about her organisation's beliefs. She says it only wants to ensure that the laws of the country are implemented. Mamogobo spoke to James de Villiers about why Put South Africa First wants to get rid of the ANC by 2024, her political ambitions and personal motivations.

How can wanting to have South Africa's immigration laws implemented be xenophobic, Victoria Mamogobo, one of the leaders of Put South Africa First, asks at the start of our interview.

"Then all countries in the world must be xenophobic. Because all countries have immigration laws," Mamogobo says sternly. Mamogobo is known as @VictoriaAfrica on Twitter, where she has more than 10 000 followers.
