Howard Feldman writes that in the six months since the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Dirco has struggled to condemn Russia's actions. He questions why the department issued a statement on this weekend's conflict in Gaza, if it remains neutral in other conflicts.

Sunday evening, my son Ben, his wife and their rescue of no determined breed, Rosie, took refuge in a stairwell in their building. They didn't have the time to get to a bomb shelter, and so they waited there until the "all clear" was given. In the photo they sent, Rosie looks perplexed as she had thought she was about to be gifted with an extra walk.
