It's been well over a year since Ace Magashule was first charged in connection with the R255 million asbestos scam - and, as Karyn Maughan writes, his latest challenge to that prosecution has raised serious questions about the strength of the case against him.

Suspended ANC secretary-general Ace Magashule's accusations of a political conspiracy against the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) are nothing it has not faced before - but it is his arguments about the holes in the case against him that should be keeping the State up at night.
