While the government plays a role in campaigns against gender-based violence and getting us to adhere to regulations to prevent Covid-19, it is also up to citizens to play their part, writes Mbhazima Shilowa. 

As it has since 1998, the country has once more launched the 16 Days of Activism for No Violence Against Women and Children campaign.

But it is easy to be cynical about it. Who wouldn't?
