The ball is in Justice Minister Ronald Lamola's court to release the record of decisions about Jacob Zuma's medical parole without delay and, to the extent that processes were followed, to close the matter instead of feeding the rumour mill, writes Mbhazima Shilowa.

The Department of Correctional Services' announcement at the weekend that medical parole was granted to former president Jacob Zuma did not come as a surprise to many people.
