The government's current Covid-19 vaccine policy makes death itself a matter of individual choice rather than prioritising the prevention of loss of life that it is constitutionally bound to give effect to, argues Mpumelelo Mkhabela.

"Nobody will be forced to take this vaccine," said President Cyril Ramaphosa during one of his Covid-19 evening speeches to the nation.
