A cash-strapped, corruption ravaged and completely disorganised ANC doesn't seem to have any coherent plan on how it plans to entice voters to their section of the ballot paper, with municipal elections just around the corner, writes Pieter du Toit.

Fikile Mbalula, the ANC's head of elections, has an almost impossible task ahead of him.

How is he expected to plan, package and execute an election campaign, based on his party's dismal performance in local government over the last five, 10 and 15 years?
