DA policy virtually denies that systemic racism exists in order to justify lumping BEE, Expropriation Without Compensation and looting together. We must heed (not hide) its signs, writes Siya Khumalo.

The DA's take on the Phoenix Massacre is that property rights and self-defence trump citizens' responsibility for addressing racism.

The ANC would argue otherwise to shift the blame for its own governance failures onto those "heroes", who took a principled stand against looting — looting that had started out as Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBBEE) and developed into anarchy.
