Each new year brings a new dawn, with excitement about opportunities and anxiety about uncertainties. After two years of uncertainty owing to Covid-19 and some bad policy choices by the South African government, we can only hope that 2022 will be characterised by fewer disruptions than the past two years.
It is necessary to see a decline in Covid-19 infections for more normality in social interaction. Each South African can contribute to this objective by participating in the Covid-19 vaccination and subsequent booster programmes.
