South Africa's problems feel like they're piling up. We know what they are, and we report on them daily - but what will it take to fix them, and who will lead the rescue of the country's future?

The return of News24's On The Record Summit will provide an exceptional platform for public discussions about the nation's myriad of challenges and the solutions needed to save South Africa from further social, political and economic damage.

There will be two events held in the coming months, in partnership with Nedbank, following the success of the inaugural summit in September last year.

On the Record with News24 will first come to Cape Town on Thursday 25 May at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC). A limited amount of youth tickets are available at R150 each using the promo code YOUTH150.

The second leg of the thought leadership event will be in Johannesburg on Thursday 31 August at the Kyalami International Convention Centre. Ticket sales for this event will launch on 24 March 2022.

Both full-day events will feature panel discussions about the topical issues affecting South Africa and a range of guest speakers who are committed to turning the country around.

News24 will announce the official guest line-up and keynote speakers in due course.

Adriaan Basson, editor-in-chief of the leading news publisher, said the event would bring together people who wanted to keep South Africa going.

"We're excited to harness the collective optimism of South Africa's top thought leaders to talk and think through the future of our beloved country. News24 is also delighted to extend this event to a wider audience this year and we're looking forward to engaging with our readers in person and through our virtual channels,” Basson added.

He thanked News24's subscribers for their continued support which reinforces the publication's ability to connect and inform South Africa's citizenry.
