It's been a big year for the Adspace Studio – Media24’s commercial content team – winning the coveted Native Advertising Studio of the Year award for teams fewer than 20 employees in Copenhagen last week.
Adspace Studio – a division within Media24's leading sales team Adspace24 – received the gold award at the 2023 Native Advertising Awards on Wednesday.
The team is responsible for the partner content that is published on News24, in City Press and in Media24's other news titles.
"To be recognised as Studio of the Year at the industry's pinnacle event - as voted by a jury of our international peers is extraordinary," says Head of Adspace Studio Jerusha Raath.
"This win has re-energized us to keep creating industry-leading solutions for our clients, publishers and users."
International stage
The jury consisted of studio heads from Vox Media, the BBC, Conde Nast and the Washington Post, among others.
Adspace Studio joins the company of BBC Storyworks, the BBC's native advertising division, which was named Studio of the Year for teams of more than 20 employees.
"Being a winner on an international stage, speaks to the quality and calibre of our team's expertise and skill at Adspace Studio. We are truly world class," says Adspace24 General Manager Tasmia Ismail.
The studio also took the Bronze award for Best Use of Print media at Wednesday’s ceremony for Absa Money Makeover, published in City Press.
Last year, the Studio won the Best Digital Advertising Project at WAN-IFRA’s African awards in July - for a campaign partnering with Nedbank entitled Behind the Business Headlines, published on News24.
The Adspace Studio team is always searching for creative commercial storytelling solutions - pushing boundaries to tell compelling stories to Media24's millions of readers on behalf of advertisers and clients.
