All indications are that President Cyril Ramaphosa will reshuffle his Cabinet before the State of the Nation Address (SONA), which is scheduled for Thursday. 

Paving the way for Cabinet changes was the announcement on Sunday by the ANC's parliamentary caucus to welcome Paul Mashatile, Maropene Ramokgopa, Sihle Zikalala and Parks Tau as MPs, and indicating that they would be sworn in on Monday. 

The Office of the Presidency added to the mounting speculation when it confirmed that Deputy President David Mabuza had been asked to stay on until the "modalities of departure" were ironed out.
