President Cyril Ramaphosa has been asked to drop the empty promises and listen to the pleas of 60 million long-suffering South Africans.
Ramaphosa will deliver his seventh State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Thursday evening as the country faces unprecedented levels of electricity blackouts, a cost-of-living crisis, failing local governments, rising crime and unemployment and poverty that continues unabated.
And he will be applauded by ANC politicians implicated in the Zondo Commission's report, not from the dock of the High Court, but from their Cabinet members' seats.
