SA arms sales: No military weapons sold to Russia since Ukraine invasion, Gungubele confirms

South African arms manufacturers have not provided any military weapons to Russia since it invaded Ukraine, but before Russian tanks rolled into Ukraine, local suppliers had been pocketing millions.

Minister in the Presidency Mondli Gungubele revealed that since 24 February 2022, no arms from any South African manufacturer have been sold to Russia.

On that date, Russia invaded Ukraine in what Moscow termed a "special military operation".
