The ANC is expected to seek an audience with former president Thabo Mbeki after he warned that the party would drive people away with its continued "mistakes" in dealing with corruption and for protecting President Cyril Ramaphosa regarding the allegations he faces around Phala Phala.
He said this could "lead to its death".
Mbeki made the scathing remarks in a 17-page letter to the party's deputy president, Paul Mashatile, dated 29 March, in which he addressed several issues, from Phala Phala to alleged corruption at Eskom.
