The ANC has resolved to broaden the SA Reserve Bank's mandate and relocate state-owned enterprises (SOEs) in specific sectors of the economy under their relevant government departments.
Chairperson of the economic transformation committee, Mmamoloko Kubayi, revealed this during an exclusive interview with News24.
Kubayi said the reserve bank should play a more significant role in alleviating poverty, and mainly support the economy through the provision of solutions to the growing unemployment crisis.
